On New Year’s Eve in Brazil, millions of people, of all religions, dressed in white gather on the beach to greet the New Year, watch fireworks, and throw flowers and other offerings into the sea for the goddess Iemanjá, in the hopes that she will grant them their requests for the coming year. Some send their gifts to Iemanjá in wooden toy boats.

Internacional became the first Brazilian club to win the Copa Sudamericana on Wednesday after striker Nilmar scored the in the 23rd minute of extra time to earn a 1-1 draw with Argentina’s Estudiantes.
It is the fifth international trophy for Internacional in the last two years after it won the Copa Libertadores and FIFA’s Club World Cup in 2006, and the Recopa Sudamericana in 2007. Earlier this year, it clinched the Dubai Cup, in addition to the Rio Grande do Sul state championship.

I heard that in Brazil and some other countrys they treat this animals really bad, and use then to collect carboards in the street. It’s a shame.

First of all, Gilles Peterson is an influential DJ, record collector and record label owner from London, UK. Through his labels Acid Jazz, Talkin’ Loud, and latterly Brownswood Recordings, he has been associated with the careers of countless well-known artists of the 1990s such as Erykah Badu and Tony Rich plus Jamiroquai.

After starting out on pirate radio, and having shows on various legal London-based radio stations, he was recruited to the BBC’s youth-oriented Radio 1 in 1998.
Widely acclaimed as a musical tastemaker, he spreads his influence on music listeners around the world through his Worldwide radio show on BBC Radio 1, that has gave to us a great musical selections and awesome interviews.
